MeyerHaugen

Recruiter Martine

Meet the team: Martine

Martine Truong Sletne has several years of experience in the recruitment industry. Both from in-house recruitment and from recruitment agencies. She grew up in Moss, where she lives with her husband and two children. Martine started at MeyerHaugen as an advisor in November 2021 and was recently promoted to senior advisor. At MeyerHaugen, she mostly works with the recruitment of managers and specialists in IT, technology, and digitalisation.

Did you know that a group of owls is called a parliament?

In my spare time, I'm a dedicated football mum. I'm the coach and vice-chair of Øreåsen football club, where my youngest, who is 7, plays. My great passion is CrossFit; I spend most of my time in “the box” when I'm not on the football pitch.

Perhaps not many outside of MeyerHaugen know that our Bid Manager, Veronica, is my older sister.

The best thing must be meeting many different people, such as clients and candidates. At the same time, you gain knowledge and insight into many different companies and organisations. The most exciting thing must be contributing to a big change in candidates' lives.

The worst part is having to reject candidates. It's not pleasant having to reject candidates you've gotten to know, and you know have invested a lot of time and energy in the process. The positive aspect is that as we work in the recruitment industry, we get the opportunity to recommend good candidates for other positions in other companies at a later date.

Why would you want to work for us at MeyerHaugen?

What triggered me and was important when I was changing jobs was the community. That MeyerHaugen has a strong focus on community culture. In addition, it was exciting how MeyerHaugen works, innovative, podcasts in the recruitment process, and is 100 % paperless. It is of course also a bonus that my sister works here.

If you had been the boss of MeyerHaugen for a day, what would you have done?

I think there are many good things, so I wouldn't initiate major changes. As I am very interested in exercise and find a lot of joy in it, I would also encourage group training sessions, sign us up for the Holmenkoll relay and other activities.

Favourite animal?

I don't really have a favourite animal, as I'm allergic to most animals. But, if I have to choose, it would have to be the pug Lilly or the Havanese Alvin.
