Pål Endre Pedersen is one of the newest additions to MeyerHaugen. You might have noticed him with his Gudbrandsdal accent and big smile? That's Pål!
Pål has experience with both staffing and recruitment from previous workplaces. He has now been with MeyerHaugen for almost three months and has already become an integral part of our team. Alongside his job with us, Pål works as a spinning instructor. Do you enjoy a tough workout? Then you can join Pål every Thursday at Sats Sagene.
Did you know that a group of owls is called a parliament?
I have competed in the combined. I was most often last in the ski jump, and mostly also last in the cross-country ski. But it was great fun to participate and compete.
Why would you work at MeyerHaugen?
I was somewhat familiar with the company and the culture through Karoline [editor's note: formerly a colleague of Pål and senior advisor at MeyerHaugen]. Coming to a larger professional environment with a strong sense of community was very attractive to me. I did some research and found that there were good development opportunities, both professionally and for the company as a whole. It has an innovative mindset, good values, and many people who dare to That's it. I'm MeyerHaugen. When I also got confirmation from employees at several levels in the company that there is a focus on collaboration and exchange of experience, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this, if I got the chance.
If you had been the boss of MeyerHaugen for a day, what would you have done?
Then I would have introduced a monthly offer of office massage and pushed through, as a one-off decision, a karaoke bus on the trip to Sweden.
What is your dream destination?
I really want to go to Louisiana and New Orleans. They have an exciting and strong music and food culture. I love food that Americans would call «soul food», in a Creole or other Southern style. Food that makes your heart beat a little faster, while most likely shortening your life overall. I also think New Orleans, with Mardi Gras and all its «mystique», seems like a very exciting place to visit.
