Key tasks:
You will have the overall responsibility for the Digital Delivery department. This includes all deliveries, production stability and responsibility for employees and consultants in the department. Furthermore, the key tasks will include:
- Financial responsibility of the department
- Responsibility of setting up and monitoring the department's budget
- Ensure proper setup for consultants to file hours on projects/tasks
- Responsible for employees and consultants
- Inspire and motivate the team
- Make sure the resources are utilized in the best way according to given prioritization
- Ensuring that staffing is according to the business IT needs and the needed competency is available (coordinate closely with PMO and functional teams)
- Ensure the employees gets needed training and education to meet business needs
- Overall responsible for ensuring the IT department has an efficient work methodology and development process in place
- Responsible for documentation of all processes and tools used by the department
- Maintenance of existing IT platforms:
- 24-7 IT duty service
- Logging and monitoring
- Escalation to 3rd party vendors
- Advice business and provide estimates and suggestions, ideas, and solutions to their business needs
- Contribute on the strategy and vision of the IT department, and Digital Delivery in particular
- Drive strong collaboration with cross functional teams, both within own department and other business areas
- Support the organization in the driver for digital delivery focus
Whom are we looking for?
- You have higher education, preferably with some years of experience from a similar role
- Experience from the interface between IT and business is an advantage
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Good knowledge of tools for efficient IT development
- Excellent leadership and people skills, and are experienced in communicating with other stakeholders
Desired skills:
- Excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian, and the ability to communicate complex material to a broad segment of the organisation
- You’re a team player with a personality inviting to dialogue, discussions and solutions brainstorming with all internal and external partners
- Focus on continuous improvement, with the ability to challenge established truths with concrete proposals for solutions
- Determined, with the ability to follow through with a structured mindset
- Relationship-building skills, enjoys the role of being ‘the spider in the web’
- You work quickly and efficiently, but also have an eye for detail
