Autostore has established a new Data Science team, to identify, categorize, analyze and use important data in the company. We are looking for a candidate motivated by being part of a journey and wanting to help build a new area in the company. We are looking for a candidate with analytical qualities and with great technical interest.
About the job
You will enabling teams to get data and educating team in how to use Power BI, and supporting them. You will also work directly with the teams in implementing Power BI solutions, and you will be involved in data governance in the organization.
The following tasks are examples of relevant tasks you will focus on:
• Connecting to different data sources
• Managing secrets and permissions
• Interpreting results
• Translating results to actions
• Managing workspaces
• Aligning with teams requirements
• Build reports and common data models
• Develop tools and processes to monitor data quality
• Develop standards to be used through organization

Competency requirements
To succeed in a role like this, you need to have good understanding of reporting and how to present information. You have Excellent communication skills and is comfortable running workshops. You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and you have good knowledge of Power BI and Dashboard reports. Proficient language skills in English, oral and written, is a prerequisite. English is the working language at AutoStore.
Experience from the following will be appreciated when we evaluate candidates:
- Relevant higher education
- Understand different types of data sources
- Ability to connect to APIs and databases
- Understand good UI, and effective ways to communicate with data
- Familiar with the Power Platform ecosystem (Dataverse, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Project management skills
- Understand data security and governance best practices
- Understand issues with data quality
- Familiar with documentation of data (Azure Purview)
- Comfortable with statistics and SQL
- Familiarity with Python would be advantageous
