As the Leader of the Residual Value and Collateral Risk Team, you will be together with your team responsible for managing and controlling the risks related to residual values and collateral across the four Nordic countries where SCB operates.
In order to succeed in this role, you must have a sound understanding of the Nordic auto markets and understand the drivers impacting vehicle values. You are responsible for setting up and developing valuation services that are used for both residual value setting/forecasting and collateral evaluation. It is therefore important that you also understand statistical models and analytical techniques can be utilized.
You need to have a genuine interest in this specific area and a drive to develop our processes and products further, by exploring new ways of working and supporting the development of new statistical methods. Being responsible for the continuous development of relevant processes and the analytics behind setting residual values/evaluate collateral, you need to understand how vehicle specific features, auto industry trends, the macro environment, and other factors impact vehicle values.
As responsible for the residual value and collateral risks, your team will be closely working with other relevant functions, supporting the business to grow, whist securing robust processes and ensuring that the risks taken are in line with the risk appetite of the Bank.
You will be responsible for building up and leading a team that supports all four Nordics markets. The team is new and with this, you will have the opportunity to impact both the team set-up and the way of working. The markets where SCB operates are continuously evolving and with this, also this specific role requires focus on continuous optimization and development of the relevant processes.
Within the organization, you are included in the Auto Retail Risk team, working closely with colleagues responsible for managing and controlling the credit risks across the Nordics. As responsible for this area, you will also be collaborating with your counterparts at Santander Consumer Finance HQ.
Since many of our tasks involve other departments excellent communication and personal skills are needed and a proactive attitude is an advantage.
