As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be responsible for the service you are associated with.
This entails maintaining a high level of knowledge and expertise and providing guidance and support to others within the organization on matters related to your assigned service. SME tasks will include writing documentation, consulting on projects, serving as a resource for others, and offering thought leadership on industry trends and best practices. You may also be involved in developing and delivering training programs within your area of expertise.
The goal of the SME is to ensure that your expert area is used and adapted optimally by the users of the service. As an SME, you will also collaborate closely with the Product Owner to evolve and drive the service to align with the strategic direction set by EA (Enterprise Architecture).
Tasks and responsibilities in the role include:
Value creation through:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available systems.
- Automate system administration tasks to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor systems and identify potential issues before they become critical.
- Respond to and resolve incidents quickly and effectively.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance and reliability. Keeping documentation updated
- Ensuring optimal usage of the service.
- Maintaining service compliance
- Ensuring optimal service operations
- Writing, updating, and reporting on Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
